Annual General Meeting 2024

The Annual General Meeting of Geotechnics Switzerland took place on 21 March 2024 at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences directly at Lucerne main station. After the Annual General Meeting of the Swiss Geotechnical Society at 17:00, 2 lectures took place. In the first, Prof. Dr André Arnold reported on the current state of research into the condition of existing micropiles and untensioned anchors. In the second lecture, Dr Axel Ruiken reported on extensive pile tests in the course of the new A26 motorway in Hamburg. The new findings gained from the 28 static pile tests on the influence of pile base expansion, pile groups, pile inclination and pile construction methods on the load-bearing behaviour were presented. Following the presentations, there was ample opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues over an aperitif riche. Over 70 people attended the event.
