In 2022 the GS young members event at EPFL gathered more than 50 colleagues and held a day on “Swiss Geotech abroad” to showcase mega-projects in Europe, Asia and Middle east enabled by Swiss geotechnical engineers. We further hosted Switzerland Global enterprise which supports Swiss entities towards navigating in foreign markets, in an era where supply chains, global manufacturing and engineering are under constant change.
This year the theme of our June meeting will be on digitalization. In a year where AI has landed to challenge the status quo we chose to address the status of digitalization integration and what’s next for our projects. Hence, we chose to answer the question: “What if we had a Swiss digital framework for sharing data in geotechnical works?”
